This is about the great molasses flood
occurred in the north-end neighbourhood
of Boston.
On January 15, 1919
a large storage tank filled with tons of molasses
burst
and the resultant wave rushed through the streets
killing 21 and injuring 150.
The event entered the local folklore
and residents claimed for decades
afterwards
that the area still smelled
of molasses
on hot summer days.

Francesco "Frank" A. Lentini was an Italian-American showman
he became known for having three legs
four feet
and two sets of genitals
Lentini was born with a parasitic twin
The twin was attached to Lentini's body at the base of his spine
His career spanned over forty years
and he worked with every major circus and sideshow
Lentini was so respected among his peers that he was often called "The King"
He married Theresa Murray three years younger than he
and they had four children
Frank Lentini died at the age of 82
